It often begins with pain.


A tight neck, aching shoulders, recurring headaches, low energy, a sense of heaviness you can’t quite name. Alongside it, a generalised negative feeling — irritability, emotional fatigue, stress, burnout. We explain it away. We keep going.


But what if these are amber signs that are drifting us away from our wellbeing?

Tiredness, aches, and emotional strain are not weaknesses — they are signals. They show how we’ve been living, what we’ve been carrying, and what we may have been postponing.


Rest. Set boundaries. Give yourself space. Listen.


Tuning in to these amber signs reconnects us with our intuition — that inner guidance that already knows what we need.

The more we notice, the clearer the signals become, helping us make choices that protect our wellbeing and sustain our energy.


It’s important to remember that these signals can also be a prompt to get a health check, alongside taking a step back to review our daily habits, routines, time for ourselves and with others — noticing what we need more of, and what may be time to let go of.


Physical aches and negative thoughts can be awareness — a clear indication of the stage we are at.

Acknowledging it allows us to notice without judgement. It doesn’t mean we are failing; it simply points to something that needs attention.

Building consciousness around these amber signs starts gently:


  • Noticing patterns rather than isolated symptoms

  • Paying attention to energy, not just output

  • Checking whether our lives are aligned with our values, not only expectations
